We educate women and girls to understand and exercise their rights with this help, they are empowered to stand up, speak out and make healthy and informed life choices and they are better equipped to be relieved from injustices.
At VOWU, we challenge abuse of women, educate communities about each ones role in preventing violence against women. We also provide hope, healing and justice to victims and survivors of domestic violence.
We educate women and girls about their reproductive health rights, personal hygiene and how to recognise and prevent infections and diseases. We make sure women are connected to healthcare providers through outreaches.
We mobilize and facilitate women to participate in public events. We provide them with opportunities to socialize with other women forming tight support groups that help them to break the isolation caused by violence and insecurity.
We identify and contact various organisations for collaboration in matters regarding empowerment of women and girls. We participate in events, meetings and conferences to expose women and their issues to relevant stakeholders.
Help us biuld a brighter future to women survivors of violence in Uganda. We request your help to buy a land and build a permanent facility to run the various projects of VOWU and to carry out our activities on a larger scale so that the lives of more vulnerable women and their families can be improved.
